Events & Gatherings
Our events include peer-led maternal mental health support groups, guided journaling workshops, and community gatherings centered on Black maternal well-being. From intimate virtual circles to hospital-supported programs, Mamas Mosaic has facilitated spaces that center honesty, healing, and connection.
Monthly Meetings
Our monthly virtual gatherings offer mothers a space to check in, reflect, and connect with others who understand the complexities of motherhood. We gather on the 3rd Sunday of each month @ 8pm.

Dear Mama/Dear Daddy*
This is one of our signature experiences. Mamas Mosaic partners with Rachell Dumas, founder of A Light After Nine Nonprofit and Dr. Alayna Blash, founder of Necessity Journals to present Dear Mama / Dear Daddy; a guided journaling experience offered in-person or virtually. Through intentional journaling prompts and facilitated discussion, Dear Mama / Dear Daddy positions journaling as an accessible mental health tool that supports emotional well-being, self-awareness, and healing across the perinatal journey.

Mom Socials
Mom Social is a community-centered gathering that brings Black mothers together beyond the daily roles and routines of motherhood. This experience creates space for meaningful relationship-building in a relaxed, affirming setting. At Mamas Mosaic, we believe that in order to have a village, you must also be a villager. These gatherings model what it looks like to actively build the villages we deserve
Grace in Grief*
Grace in Grief is a signature, stand-alone offering by Mamas Mosaic designed to support Black women navigating grief, loss, and life transitions. While Mamas Mosaic is rooted in maternal mental health, Grace in Grief intentionally extends beyond motherhood to create space for Black women at any stage of life who are carrying grief in its many forms. The Discussion is facilitated by Shannon Roane, certified grief coach and founder of J and J Journals.

Community Conversations
Black Maternal Joy: A Portrait Series
Community Conversations is a collaborative dialogue bringing together lived experience and professional insight to support families more holistically. A collaborative project between Mamas Mosaic alongside Felisha Floyd, CLC,CBE,IBCLC and Pediatrician, Dr. Daphne C. Esho, MD, this event centered lactation education, infant health, and maternal well-being. Community Conversations models what’s possible when providers and community leaders partner to listen, learn, and co-create solutions, making it an ideal program for organizations seeking meaningful, community-centered collaboration.
Black Maternal Joy was a community-centered collaboration with Piedmont Athens Hospital created to celebrate the fullness, beauty, and resilience of Black motherhood. This gathering uplifted joy as an essential part of Black maternal health, bringing families and community leaders together to honor connection, care, and shared experiences.
